Position : SAP ABAP S / 4HANA Consultant

Location : Description :

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished SAP ABAP S / 4HANA Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess 11-15 years of extensive experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on S / 4HANA implementations, migrations, and enhancements. This role requires deep technical expertise in leveraging the full capabilities of the S / 4HANA platform, including ABAP on HANA, CDS views, AMDPs, and Fiori / UI5 development. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing custom solutions that meet complex business requirements and integrate seamlessly across various SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex custom ABAP solutions within the SAP S / 4HANA environment.
  • Develop and optimize HANA-specific ABAP artifacts, including advanced ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDPs), Core Data Services (CDS) views (including annotations and associations), and SQL Script for high-performance solutions.
  • Drive performance tuning and optimization initiatives for existing and new ABAP programs, leveraging S / 4HANA capabilities and best practices.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) objects across various SAP S / 4HANA modules (e.g., FI / CO, SD, MM, PP, PS).
  • Design and implement robust interfaces using modern technologies such as OData, REST / SOAP APIs, IDocs, and BAPIs for seamless integration with internal and external systems.
  • Possess hands-on experience or strong understanding of Fiori / UI5 development, including extending standard Fiori apps and developing custom Fiori applications.
  • Conduct advanced debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of complex technical issues in ABAP and S / 4HANA environments.
  • Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and create detailed technical design documents, test plans, and release notes.
  • Enforce strict adherence to coding standards, conduct comprehensive code reviews, and ensure the highest quality and maintainability of developed solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for S / 4HANA migration and conversion projects (e.g., Brownfield, Greenfield, Selective Data Transition).
  • Stay current with the latest SAP technologies, S / 4HANA innovations, cloud integration strategies, and industry best practices, recommending their adoption where appropriate.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior ABAP developers, fostering their growth and ensuring project success.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise :

  • 11-15 years of extensive hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Strong and demonstrable expertise with SAP ABAP on HANA development, including advanced concepts and performance optimization techniques specific to HANA.
  • Proven experience in developing and consuming ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDPs) and complex Core Data Services (CDS) views.
  • In-depth knowledge of Open SQL enhancements and new ABAP syntax for S / 4HANA.
  • Extensive experience with various ABAP development objects (RICEF) : Reports, Interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData, REST / SOAP), Conversions (LSMW, LTMC, BDC), Enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots), Forms (Smartforms, Adobe Forms), and Workflows.
  • Solid understanding of S / 4HANA architecture, simplified data model, and Fiori integration.
  • Experience with Fiori / UI5 development or a strong conceptual understanding of Fiori extensibility.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and SAP Solution Manager for change management.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant SAP S / 4HANA or ABAP certifications are highly preferred.
