Job Summary : We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our OSS Operations team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in telecom operations support systems (OSS), with a strong understanding of modern architectures including microservices, containers, and pod-based deployments. This role will drive operational excellence, reliability, and automation across our OSS platforms supporting next-generation telecom networks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the end-to-end OSS operations team ensuring high availability, performance, and SLA adherence.
- Oversee daily operations of OSS platforms including provisioning, fault, performance, configuration, and service assurance systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to maintain containerized OSS environments (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
- Implement and monitor CI / CD pipelines for OSS tools deployed using microservices and pods.
- Ensure proactive monitoring, incident / problem / change management, and root cause analysis for OSS components.
- Own the integration and lifecycle management of OSS applications supporting RAN, Transport, Core, and Cloud domains.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to guide the evolution of OSS platforms towards cloud-native architectures.
- Build dashboards and observability frameworks for real-time health and performance tracking of OSS tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, automation strategies, and capacity planning for OSS systems.
Key Requirements :
10+ years of experience in OSS operations within telecom or large-scale IT environments.Proven leadership in managing 24x7 operations teams, SLAs, and high-availability systems.Strong expertise in OSS domains : Inventory, FCAPS, Network Monitoring, Service Orchestration.Solid experience in microservices-based architecture and container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm).Proficient in tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.Familiarity with cloud-native OSS solutions and open-source platforms (e.G., ONAP, OpenNMS, Netbox).Experience in telecom network domains (RAN / Transport / Core) and their operational needs.Good understanding of ITIL practices (Incident, Change, Problem Management).Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience : 10+ YearsB.E. / B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics, or Telecom Engineering.Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA / CKAD), ITIL v4, or relevant cloud-native tools are a plus.Exposure to AI / ML-based predictive operations and AIOps tools is an advantage.RAKUTEN SHUGI PRINCIPLES :
