Quality Assurance Engineer

Job description

Key Responsibilities :

Execute test cases and document results with high attention to detail
Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
Report and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (JIRA / ADO)
Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand the requirements
Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning meetings
Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts
Conduct basic API testing using Postman or similar tools
Perform basic performance and load testing

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

2-3 years of experience in software testing

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and SDLC

Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar)

Basic understanding of SQL queries for database testing

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment

Preferred Skills :

Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber)

Basic programming knowledge (Java / Python / JavaScript)

Experience with API testing tools (Postman)

Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
