At SolarSquare we are building the Home-Energy brand of future India. We help homes switch to rooftop solar and move away from traditional coal electricity. We are a full-stack D2C residential solar brand - designing, installing, maintaining (after-sales) and financing solar systems for home-owners across India. In 3 years we have scaled to become the leading residential solar brand in India. We are obsessed with quality, customer service and innovating to make it simple for homes to switch to solar. About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing team. This role will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, driving people strategies that support business objectives, enhance employee experience, and strengthen our culture of performance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership

  • Partner closely with business leaders to understand functional goals and workforce needs.
  • Support and influence strategic decision-making with data-driven HR insights.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on all people-related matters.

Performance & Talent Management

  • Drive the performance review and feedback cycles end-to-end.
  • Support leaders with talent calibration, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Identify and nurture high-potential talent and work with L&D to structure growth plans.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Champion the employee experience; design and execute engagement initiatives tailored to teams.
  • Lead pulse surveys, analyze insights, and work with teams to build action plans.
  • Foster an inclusive, transparent, and high-performance work culture.
  • Employee Relations & Grievance Handling

  • Address employee queries, concerns, and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead investigations and resolve conflicts in alignment with company policies and values.
  • People Operations & Compliance

  • Partner with HR Ops and Payroll teams to ensure seamless processes - onboarding, transfers, exits, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, HR policies, and compliance protocols across regions.
  • Change Management & Projects

  • Contribute to or lead organization-wide HR projects (e.g., process digitization, policy refresh, DEI, etc.).
  • Act as a change agent during business transitions and restructuring.
  • Qualifications & Skills

  • 6-8 years of HRBP or generalist experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing HR for large frontline or distributed teams is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust across levels.
  • Data-oriented and comfortable using dashboards and HR metrics for decisions.
  • Exposure to labor law, performance frameworks, and employee life cycle management.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and work independently.
