Job description

Responsibilities :

  • Custom App Development : Design, build, and maintain custom applications on the ServiceNow platform using best practices.
  • Module Configuration : Configure core modules such as Incident, Change, Problem, CMDB, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
  • Scripting : Write and debug complex Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs.
  • Integration Design & Implementation : Develop REST / SOAP API integrations with third-party systems, including secure authentication and data transformation.
  • Performance Optimization : Analyze instance performance, optimize queries, and implement indexing or architectural improvements.
  • Platform Upgrades & Enhancements : Manage instance upgrades and implement new features as ServiceNow evolves.
  • Code Reviews & Mentorship : Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and uphold development standards.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance : Build automated tests using ATF or third-party tools to ensure stability across deployments.
  • Documentation & Governance : Maintain technical documentation and align with ITSM / ITIL frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and platform architects to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications : Experience :

  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development.
  • Strong experience in at least two major modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or SecOps).
  • Certifications (Preferred) :

  • Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • Certified Application Developer
  • ITIL Foundation or above
  • Technical Skills :

  • Strong JavaScript and Glide API expertise.
  • Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Scoped Applications.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI / CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Soft Skills :

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging ability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and drive decisions.
  • Additional Pluses :

  • Experience with ServiceNow Store apps or custom marketplace solutions.
  • Knowledge of Performance Analytics, CMDB Health, and Service Mapping.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow AI / ML features like Virtual Agent or Predictive Intelligence.
