Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day operations and drive service delivery excellence, particularly in the certification or compliance industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a customer-centric mindset, and proven experience in managing cross-functional teams within fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee and manage daily operational activities across departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
Plan, schedule, and execute internal and external audits in line with company and industry standards.
Lead client handling initiatives, resolve escalations, and maintain strong client relationships.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including quality, accounts, and business development to meet project timelines and customer expectations.
Implement and monitor compliance with company SOPs, ISO standards, and certification protocols.
Identify operational bottlenecks and propose actionable solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
Generate, analyze, and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and periodic operational reports.
Drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives across operational workflows.
Train, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Liaise with senior management for strategic planning and organizational development.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations or service delivery; exposure to the certification or inspection industry is highly desirable.
Prior experience in managing audits, documentation processes, and customer-facing operations.
Skills Required :
Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Tamil and English.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Working knowledge of ISO standards and certification procedures is an added advantage.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and deliver within strict timelines.
Preferred Attributes :
ISO Lead Auditor certification (optional but preferred).
Experience in stakeholder management and operational budgeting.
Exposure to ERP / CRM systems.
