Platform Engineer – Java / BigData / Kubernetes Job Description

Syntasa is seeking a high-caliber and dedicated Platform Engineer to join its India subsidiary, Syntasa Technologies India Private Limited . This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a world-class development and support center. The India operations will serve as an extension of Syntasa’s US-based software development and support functions.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize data processing and platform services using Java and Big Data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

Build and maintain scalable microservices and backend APIs supporting data-driven applications and integrations across systems.

Deploy, manage, and scale workloads using Kubernetes and containerized environments.

Work closely with platform, and DevOps teams to ensure reliability, automation, and performance.

Implement cloud-native and CI / CD best practices to streamline delivery and operations.

Skills & Experience Must-Have :

Strong expertise in Java and SpringBoot for backend and data-intensive applications.

Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, etc.).

Practical knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and scaling.

Nice to Have :

Familiarity with Kafka or other real-time streaming systems.

Knowledge of RDBMS (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.

Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering , or a related field.

4+ years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Platform Engineer .

Strong problem-solving , collaboration , and communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, distributed engineering environment .
