About the Role :
We are seeking a proactive and skilled System Administrator with a strong focus on IIS (Internet Information Services) to join our IT operations team in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient management, maintenance, and optimization of our Windows server environments and web application infrastructure.
This role is crucial for ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our web-based services and supporting development teams in their migration projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Windows Server Management :
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the Windows Server Platform, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various Windows Server versions.
- Execute and support Windows server migration projects, including internal infrastructure servers and assisting development teams with their migration needs.
- Perform regular performance tuning of Windows servers to ensure optimal operation and resource utilization.
IIS Web Server Administration :
Take primary responsibility for installing, configuring, and maintaining websites on IIS web servers.Actively analyze IIS logs to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and monitor web server health.Effectively analyze and troubleshoot web server crashes using tools like Debug Diagnosis to diagnose root causes and implement solutions.Maintain and strengthen SSL Security across all web environments, ensuring certificates are properly installed, configured, and renewed, and adherence to security best practices.System Operations & Support :
Perform and assist with disaster recovery operations and collaborate with respective teams on backup and restore activities to ensure data integrity and business continuity.Provide operational support for our IT infrastructure, ensuring stability and reliability.Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth application deployments and environment stability.CI / CD & Automation :
Apply knowledge and experience with CI / CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) principles and tools to support automated deployment pipelines for web applications.Seek opportunities to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Experience :
3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator, with a strong focus on Windows Server and IIS.Proven experience in Windows server migration projects.Demonstrable experience with IIS web server installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.Experience with CI / CD concepts and their application in an operations context.Technical Skills :
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).Expertise in IIS (Internet Information Services) administration, including application pools, websites, virtual directories, and various authentication methods.Proficiency in SSL certificate management and web security best practices.Familiarity with troubleshooting tools for Windows servers and web applications, such as Debug Diagnosis, Performance Monitor, Event Viewer.Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, Load Balancing).Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation is a plus.Problem-Solving :
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Windows servers and web applications.Communication & Collaboration :
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with development teams, other IT teams, and stakeholders.Ability to document technical procedures and solutions clearly.Education :
