Job Summary :

HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior OBIEE Developer to join our team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust business intelligence solutions using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS). You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications, developing reports and dashboards, managing RPDs, and contributing to the overall BI architecture. A strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and excellent SQL skills are crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities :

• BI Development & Enhancement : Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex reports, dashboards, and analyses using Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and / or OBIEE 11g / 12c.
• RPD Development & Management : Develop and maintain the OBIEE / OAS Repository (RPD) across all three layers (Physical, Business Model and Mapping, Presentation), ensuring optimal performance and data accuracy. Work effectively in a Multi-User Development Environment (MUDE).
• SQL Expertise : Write complex, efficient, and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Troubleshoot and performance tune existing SQL.
• Data Warehousing : Apply strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact Tables, Dimension Tables, and associated Kimball methodologies in BI solution design.
• Deployment & Administration : Participate in the deployment, configuration, and general administrative activities related to OBIEE / OAS environments.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging : Possess strong debugging and analytical skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within OBIEE / OAS reports, dashboards, RPD, and underlying data sources.
• Performance Optimization : Proactively identify and implement performance tuning opportunities for reports, dashboards, and RPD.
• Requirement Analysis : Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather, understand, and translate business requirements into technical design specifications for BI solutions.
• Best Practices : Adhere to and promote OBIEE / OAS best practices for development, security, and performance.
• Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions, including design specifications, data models, and deployment procedures.
• Collaboration : Work effectively within an Agile team environment, collaborating with data architects, ETL developers, and other stakeholders.
