Database Developer - Snowflake DB

We are seeking a Database Developer with strong expertise in Snowflake development to design, optimize, and engineer high-efficiency database solutions for our flagship products. The ideal candidate will focus on performance tuning, query efficiency, and advanced Snowflake engineering, with minimal administrative :

• Design and develop efficient Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, and views tailored for high-performance applications.
• Write complex, highly optimized SQL queries and stored procedures in Snowflake.
• Analyze, monitor, and continuously improve database and query performance, ensuring low latency and high scalability.
• Implement best practices around Snowflake query profiling, clustering, materialized views, and caching mechanisms.
• Work closely with the application and analytics engineering teams to design database models that maximize query performance.
• Develop reusable database components and standards to promote consistency and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and recommend tuning adjustments.
• Participate actively in code reviews and design discussions related to database :
• Certification : Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification (mandatory).
• Experience : 3-5 years of strong database development experience, with the last 2+ years focused exclusively on Snowflake as a dedicated Snowflake Developer (not Administrator).
• Prior experience includes working with traditional databases, transitioning into modern cloud data platforms.
• Expertise in SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and stored procedure development.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake-specific features like micro-partitioning, clustering keys, and query profiling tools.
• Good grasp of database engineering concepts such as indexing strategies, query execution plans, and data distribution.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e. g., Git) for database scripts and objects.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
