We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil 3D Designer with a strong track record of delivering U.S.-based civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience using Autodesk Civil 3D in the design and drafting of civil infrastructure such as land development, grading, utility layouts, and Roadway Design. This position requires a self-driven professional who can independently manage detailed design tasks, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and uphold high drafting standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Production of detailed civil engineering plans and documentation using Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with U.S. standards and client specifications.
- Develop and manage Civil 3D models including surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, grading plans, and pipe networks (storm, sanitary, water).
- Interpret engineering inputs and convert them into accurate and constructible design outputs.
- Create plans and profile sheets, cross-sections, and quantity takeoffs using Civil 3D tools.
- Coordinate closely with engineers, project managers, and other CAD staff across time zones to deliver high-quality results on schedule.
- Review and QA / QC drawings prepared by junior team members; provide technical mentorship and training where needed.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of CAD standards, libraries, and workflow improvements.
- Manage and organize drawing sets, ensuring consistency and adherence to U.S. codes, guidelines, and best practices (e.g., AASHTO, DOT standards).
- Train and mentor team members to develop technical skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of professional experience using Autodesk Civil 3D on U.S.-based civil engineering projects.Expert Proficiency in Tools like Civil 3D and AutoCAD.Deep expertise : Site grading and earthwork modeling, Roadway and corridor modeling, Stormwater and utility layout design, Sheet set preparation and annotation workflows.Strong understanding of United States civil engineering standards and regulatory environments.
