Corporate Legal Officer – Mumbai

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Corporate Legal Officer to join our Mumbai office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the organization’s legal affairs, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, drafting and reviewing contracts, and providing legal support to various departments. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate laws, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Founded in 2020, the company has rapidly scaled with strong backing from reputed institutional investors and continues to innovate in the investment and financial services space.

Location : Mumbai – On-site

Key Responsibilities :

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, MOUs, NDAs, lease agreements, vendor agreements, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice and support on corporate matters, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements under Companies Act, SEBI, FEMA, RBI, and other applicable laws.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel for litigation, dispute resolution, and legal opinions.
• Handle company secretarial work in coordination with CS (if required).
• Conduct legal risk analysis and develop internal policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations and ensure business practices align accordingly.
• Support internal teams in understanding legal implications of business decisions.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage documentation related to litigation.
• Maintain and update legal databases and ensure proper filing and archival of legal records.

Required Qualifications and Skills :

Working Days : Monday to Friday - On-site

Salary : ₹8–10 LPA (depending on experience, with potential equity options for high-performing candidates)
