Job Description

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer / Architect (not a tech solu engineer) who is into pre sales, who understands the clients’ workflows, prepares presentation decks, writes effective RFP / RFI, presents solutions to the clients. US Healthcare domain experience is a must.

Summary

This document describes the duties, responsibilities, and required skills and experience for the position of Solutions Architect.

Duties and Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to :

  • Able to understand a client’s workflows and paradigm, Smart Data Solutions’ products, and create Proposals that meets our client’s needs while optimizing value.
  • Support SDS Client and Technical Partner teams with activities including the supporting the requirements gathering and documentation that leads to the development of business requirements and / or statements of work.

o     Able to draft detailed key deliverables and requirements.

  • Provide product demonstrations with a focus on storytelling and value delivery, that demonstrate the SDS solution that the customer is evaluating and answer any customer or product related questions.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during pre-sales discussions, ensuring that the proposed solutions meet customer needs and are technically viable.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of the software products, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of healthcare payer processes for mailroom functions, clearinghouse and claims operations and how SDS products align and support those processes.
  • o     Claims operations (Plan Build, Audit, Claims Processing and Appeals)

  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs / RFPs, and coordinate with product teams to ensure accurate information is provided.
  • Serve as the liaison between finance, sales, product management, and engineering teams, providing customer feedback and helping to guide product development.
  • Conduct product walkthroughs and training sessions with a focus on storytelling and value delivery for clients to ensure successful onboarding and adoption.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple customer engagements simultaneously, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
  • Keep abreast of new product features and releases, participating in continuous learning and training opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of sales tools, including demo scripts, presentation materials, and case studies.
  • Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information technology, solutions architecture, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in roles such as sales engineer, business development, technical consulting, or pre-sales within the IT industry, preferably in Healthcare IT.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to ask insightful questions, quickly learn complex solutions and workflows, and present them in a clear, simplified way that demonstrates thought leadership.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build rapport with customers, understand their business challenges, and clearly articulate the value proposition of software solutions.
  • Experience in responding to technical sections of RFIs / RFPs and conducting software demos.
  • Experience with RFI / RFP knowledge management tools (e.g., Loopio) is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and engineering.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, conferences, and other events.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
