Job Description :

As a QA Automation Engineer at Stalwart Innovations, you will be a key player in our quality assurance initiatives. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our software applications. You will work closely with development teams to integrate automation into our continuous integration and delivery pipelines, driving efficiency and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Automation Framework Development : Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation test frameworks for web, mobile, and / or API applications.
  • Test Script Creation : Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable automated test scripts using relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#).
  • Test Execution & Analysis : Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, identify defects, and provide detailed reports to the development team.
  • CI / CD Integration : Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) pipelines to enable faster feedback loops and continuous quality assurance.
  • Defect Management : Accurately identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using a bug tracking system (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Collaboration : Work closely with manual QA engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation, and collaborate with developers and product owners to understand new features for effective test coverage.
  • Performance & Security (Basic) : Contribute to performance and basic security testing efforts where applicable.
  • Process Improvement : Research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and testing strategies to improve automation effectiveness and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Experience : 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in QA automation engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#).
  • Solid experience with UI automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
  • Proven experience with API automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Rest Assured, Postman, SoapUI).
  • Testing Methodologies : Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies (Agile / Scrum), and SDLC / STLC.
  • Proficient with Git and standard Git workflows.
  • Experience integrating automated tests with CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Test Management & Bug Tracking : Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestLink, Zephyr) and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
  • Basic SQL knowledge for backend data validation.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with mobile automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker).
  • ISTQB certification.
