Sr. Data Modeler (US Healthcare IT)

We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler with 6 - 9 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling, particularly in healthcare environments. You will design and maintain scalable data models that support business intelligence, data warehousing, and analytics needs.
You must have hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler, SCD (Slowly Changing Dimensions), fact and dimension tables, and designing star and snowflake schemas. Familiarity with Databricks, Azure Cloud, and Azure Data Factory is a strong plus.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for healthcare data platforms
- Design robust data models using Erwin to support data warehouse, data lake, and analytics
- Create and manage fact and dimension tables, and implement SCD Types 1, 2, and 3
- Build scalable star and snowflake schemas to optimize data for reporting and analysis
- Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to translate requirements into effective data structures
- Ensure data models meet compliance, governance, and performance standards
- Document model designs, metadata, and data dictionaries for stakeholders
- Support data integration and migration initiatives with strong data mapping and lineage understanding
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field6 - 10 years of hands-on experience in data modellingStrong expertise in Erwin Data ModelerSolid knowledge of SCD types, fact / dimension tables, and data warehousing conceptsProficiency in designing and optimizing star and snowflake schemasExcellent SQL skills and understanding of relational database systemsExperience working with large datasets in a US healthcare along with FHIRGood to Have
