Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a highly skilled Senior Content Designer to join our dynamic Marketing Experiences team. This role is critical in shaping and delivering engaging, high-quality content that enhances customer interaction with our brand. As a Senior Content Designer, you will leverage your expertise in enterprise headless CMSs, content models, Contentful, and marketing content strategy to create impactful experiences across multiple platforms.

This position focuses on developing user-interface text and content strategy from a digital experience perspective, focusing on usability, accessibility, and effectiveness. The designer will work closely with various teams, including UX designers, Product Management, Software Engineering, Software Architecture, Quality Assurance, and Marketing, to create compelling, frictionless content experiences that help customers solve their most critical "design and make" problems.

Responsibilities

  • Translate marketing goals into digital experiences, deciding how and where content should be displayed, what interactive elements might be needed, and how to optimize the content for different devices and user needs to enhance product discovery, trial, purchase, use, and renewal.
  • Use customer insights from analytics, research, and other interactions to inform content decisions.
  • Drive collaboration efforts across the ecosystem of content creators within Autodesk, ensuring efficient, aligned content production and positive user experiences.
  • Define a vision, purpose, strategy, and rationale for developing content and controlled language that supports business goals.
  • Participate in design and content reviews to seek and apply feedback, resulting in clear, accurate content that meets customer needs.
  • Ensure content accessibility and usability by applying UX principles to the presentation of content.
  • Test and measure microcopy effectiveness, iterating content based on feedback and analysis.
  • Contribute to division and company-wide terminology and taxonomy projects.
  • Infuse passion, care, and attention to detail in marketing experience artifacts to build brand trust.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years experience creating marketing-focused content.
  • Excellent writing skills : succinct, clear, empathetic, and engaging, with an interest in the intersection of language and user experience.
  • Understanding of how content, tone, and voice affect the usability of a product, app, landing page, and website.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly-collaborative, cross-functional team environment solving customer challenges through problem definition, workflow analysis, schematics, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Basic knowledge of customer journeys and how to identify opportunities for content touchpoints.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex ideas, varied viewpoints, and large amounts of data to their essence.
  • Strong understanding of language models, taxonomies, linguistic principles, and AI / ML-driven conversations.
  • Experience with enterprise headless CMSs and content models.
  • Experience with Contentful.
  • Hands-on knowledge of qualitative or quantitative research and analysis.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (English, Communications, Design, IA, or HCI preferred) or equivalent work experience within a related field.
  • Experience with Figma.
  • Experience with agile software design methods.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk products.
  • Experience in large global enterprise organizations.
  • A sense of humor is a plus.

    Salary Transparency

    Salary is one part of Autodesks competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $106,500 and $183,700. Offers are based on the candidates experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
