Automation Engineer (n8n Specialist)

Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking an experienced n8n automation specialist to help us design, build, and optimize custom workflow automations. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with n8n, API integrations, and workflow logic. This is a remote freelance / contract opportunity.

Responsibilities :

Design and implement custom workflows using n8n.

Integrate various third-party APIs (e.g., CRM, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, etc.).

Create and manage webhooks, triggers, and conditional logic .

Set up and manage self-hosted n8n (Docker, VPS, etc.) if needed.

Debug, optimize, and document workflows.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and implement automation solutions.

Requirements :

Proven experience with n8n (portfolio or sample workflows preferred).

Strong understanding of API calls, JSON, and webhooks .

Familiarity with JavaScript (for custom functions in n8n).

Experience with self-hosted deployments (Docker, Linux server, PostgreSQL) is a plus.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Project Type :

One-time project with the possibility of long-term collaboration.

Requirements

Qualifications : Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. ITIL certification is highly desirable. Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in service delivery management within the IT networking infrastructure and managed services industry. Proven experience in managing client relationships and leading service delivery teams. Skills : Strong understanding of IT networking infrastructure and managed services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Proficiency in using service management tools and software. Working Conditions : Office environment with occasional travel to client sites. Availability to work outside regular business hours as needed.
