About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automation Engineer / Scripting Specialist with a strong background in scripting, systems administration, and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Unix / Windows environments and a solid understanding of scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Python, or JavaScript. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to design, implement, and support automation solutions that enhance system efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions across client environments.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to define and refine automation requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to system automation and scripting.
- Create and maintain documentation for processes, solutions, and development activities.
- Leverage scripting and programming skills to automate routine system administration tasks.
- Participate in testing activities including preparation of test cases, regression testing, and troubleshooting.
- Continuously improve processes by identifying automation opportunities and implementing enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.3+ years of experience in scripting, automation, or software development.Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, JavaScript).Demonstrated expertise in Unix or Windows system environments.Understanding of ITIL-based operations and systems administration practices.Familiarity with regular expressions, APIs, JSON, SQL, and automation frameworks.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Flexible mindset with a strong sense of urgency and multitasking capabilities.Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and eagerness to share Skills :Prior experience in a Systems Administrator role with hands-on scripting for automation (ideal 50 / 50 split).Exposure to networking, databases, web services, and application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache).Working knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios), Jira, ServiceNow, SaaS platforms, and API development.Experience in preparing test cases and performing automated and manual regression testing.Why Join Us?
