Backend Engineer - Java / Python

Job Description :

Join the AI-first engineering team to design scalable, high-performance backend systems that power e-commerce platforms across Asia. You'll integrate AI / ML models into production infrastructure to automate everything from inventory to personalization. Work closely with product, frontend, and data teams to build resilient services that handle millions of transactions and scale reliably across markets like India, GCC, and SEA.

• Build microservices and APIs (REST, GraphQL) using Python (FastAPI), Node.js, or Java. Deploy serverless functions and optimize for sub-200ms latency via caching and load balancing.
• Deploy ML models (e. g., demand forecasting, catalog automation) using TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Integrate generative AI (Claude, GPT-4o) and vector search (Pinecone, Weaviate) into production.
• Manage SQL / NoSQL databases. Ensure data integrity, compliance (DPDP, PDPL), and secure authentication (OAuth 2.0 AES-256).
• Use Docker, Kubernetes, and CI / CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for deployment.
• Ensure 99.99% uptime and 1 M+ daily transaction support with observability tools like Grafana and Datadog.
• Partner with frontend and ML teams to align APIs and operationalize models.
• Track and improve performance with tools like MLflow and Prometheus.
