BricknBolt is a managed marketplace providing construction services. We are category creators and front-runners in space. We are solving one of the most complex business problems and creating an ecosystem of trust for the Stakeholders - Customers, Construction professionals, and Material vendors. Construction has been a highly unorganized and severely tech-deficit industry globally. We are just not trying to organize but disrupt the industry completely using technology and process - creating the playbook for the industry.

Indian real estate is earmarked to be a $650 billion market in 2025 and a $1 trillion worth sector in 2030. With 85%+ construction still unorganized in India, Brick&Bolt is on a path to capture the massive and super-broken market using our technology and processes.
Expanding to more than 12 cities in 15 months. With the Series A2 round, Brick&Bolt has raised a total of $16 million. Earlier Sequoia Surge, Foundamental, HDFC Capital Advisors Limited and Stride Ventures have invested in Brick&Bolt. In Jan 2023, we raised Series A2 Funding of $10million from Accel and Celesta Capital.

About the Role : -

Position : Head of Engineering

Location : Bangalore

Role Summary :

Seeking an experience driven Head of Engineering to lead our adept software engineering team. Ideal candidates should have 9+ years in backend development, particularly in Java and related full-stack technologies.

Responsibilities :

Develop and align engineering strategy with company goals.

Execute technical roadmap in sync with vision, fostering a high-performance culture emphasizing

collaboration and innovation.

Implement best practices in software development, project management, and quality assurance.

Collaborate with product teams, translating business needs into technical solutions.

Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle ensuring timely, high-quality releases.

Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in development processes.

Recruit, mentor, and develop a skilled engineering team.

Offer guidance for career development, nurturing a talented pool of professionals.

Cultivate a collaborative, accountable team culture fostering creativity.

Stay updated on industry trends, driving adoption of cutting-edge tech.

Ensure coding standards, offer guidance, conduct thorough code reviews, and promote best practices for high-quality code.

Foster innovation by staying updated on emerging technologies.

Engage with other departments for cohesive product development and customer satisfaction.

Communicate project status, timelines, and risks effectively to stakeholders.

Develop and manage the engineering budget, optimizing resources without compromising quality or innovation.

Requirements :

Bachelor's / Master's in Computer Science or related field.

9+ years in backend development, proficiency in Java and related technologies.

Knowledge of ReactJs, Kotlin, and iOS is advantageous.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proven track record in delivering scalable software solutions.

Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
