The Lead SME – Mechanical will head the Mechanical and allied engineering content vertical, with a primary focus on re-packaging existing courses to drive learner engagement and measurable learning outcomes. The role requires deep domain expertise, strong academic insight, and the ability to lead a team of SMEs and instructional designers. The candidate will also support presales efforts by providing academic and technical inputs during customer discussions and solution presentations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (e.g., Mechatronics, Production, Automotive).
- 12–18 years of experience across academia and / or industry, with demonstrated leadership in engineering education or training roles.
- Proven ability to manage teams and collaborate with product, sales, and delivery functions in an EdTech setup.
Key Responsibilities :
Content Repackaging & Structuring : Redesign and modularize existing learning content to enhance clarity, learner experience, and application orientation.Learner Engagement : Integrate real-world case studies, practice exercises, assessments, and interactive elements to improve course effectiveness.Team Leadership : Mentor and guide a team of subject matter experts and instructional designers; review and approve academic content for quality and relevance.Outcome Tracking : Align content with clearly defined learning outcomes and implement tracking mechanisms to monitor learner progress and impact.Presales Support : Participate in technical discussions with clients, helping articulate academic value propositions and content fitment during presales pitches.Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with content, media, sales, and delivery teams to ensure seamless program execution and quality assurance.
