A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans, develops, customize, delivers, and coordinates commercial training programs for commercial employees in Asia RLM.
  • Ensures training programs meets company and commercial objectives. Identify priorities of training programs aligning business objectives and local training needs.
  • Maintain relationships, contact and communication with commercial leaders and training program participants for follow-up and continuity to ensure transfer of learning.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness and impact of programs. Conduct periodic training needs assessments with the commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with Training & Education (T&E) Trainers and / or Marketing to ensure relevance and practical applications.
  • Partner with HR to drive and conduct employee new hire onboarding as needed.
  • Contributes to the global COE Commercial Training initiatives by identifying ways to continuously improve the learning process and enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Stays current on adult learning theories, learning design, curriculum development, learning facilitation, assessment of learning competence, and learning technology to deliver high-quality training programs to accommodate various adult learning styles. Prepares training materials, develops / tailor course content, determines methodology, develops assessments and coordinates the development of training aids / tools.
  • Undertake ad hoc requests / projects relating to Commercial Training.
  • May evaluate and / or oversee training vendors.

Must Have : Minimum Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree qualifications
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated training & education experience in the medical devices or hospital industry
  • Knowledge and adherence to Medtronic Business Conduct Standards and Digital Education Guidelines
  • Demonstratable ability to build good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong influencing skills, excellent presentation skills
  • Computer and MS Office proficient
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English language
  • Nice to Have

  • Background in human resource and education with problem-solving capability and growth mind-set is a great plus
  • Knowledge of method of teaching and learning development process is preferred
  • Experience in Commercial / Marketing / Clinical business is highly regarded
