Rapido - Lead DevOps Engineer - Observability Services

Job Summary :

As a Lead DevOps Engineer at Rapido, you will be working on building and operating infrastructure at scale, designing and implementing a variety of tools to enable product teams to build and deploy their services independently, improving observability across the board, and designing for security, resiliency, availability, and stability. Job Responsibilities :

1. You will lead and guide your team toward developing high-quality and optimized deliverables.

2. Own end-to-end infrastructure right from non-prod to prod environment including self-managed DBs.

3. Manage large-scale production environment and mission-critical infrastructure. Codify and manage our infrastructure.

4. Do what it takes to keep the uptime above 99.99%

5. Understand the bigger picture and sail through the ambiguities.

6. Scale technology considering cost and observability and manage end-to-end processes.

7. (Lead, Influence, and evangelize the DevOps principles across the organization),Understand DevOps philosophy and evangelize the principles across the organization.

8. Work closely with Engineering Leadership to ensure that the infrastructure can serve current and future needs.

9. Strong communication and collaboration skills to break down the silos.

Job Requirements :

1. B.Tech. / B.E. degree in Computer Science or equivalent software engineering degree / experience.

2. Minimum 7 yrs of experience working as a DevOps / Infrastructure Consultant with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience leading a team.

3. Must have a firm hold on the container orchestration tool Kubernetes (and should have the ability to advise the dev team on how to build and run it).

4. Must have expertise in configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, Chef / Puppet.

5. Experience in any one programming language like GO / Python, and Java and can design and propose solutions in software development life cycle.

6. Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to write scripts in more than one scripting language.
