Applies knowledge around analytical tools and methodologies to help develop innovative data-driven solutions that deliver actionable insights to help identify opportunities drive efficiencies scalability and / or an improved customer experience. Also assists with related training and support.

Business Intelligence & Analytics includes roles that produce business intelligence (BI) insights from statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies that help to identify trends in large data sets supported by data mining architectures / models / protocols. BI & Analysis techniques are applied across business (e.g. market economics products supply chain marketing sales finance HR procurement etc.).

Professional stream includes those who are individual contributors with main emphasis on applying technical / discipline knowledge rather than managing people to achieve results although coaching / mentoring less experienced staff informal supervisory responsibilities or overseeing work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and program are common.

Individual work ranges from setting objectives and delivering on own work responsibilities to being a leading expert within a given field and influencing long term tactical decisions of the organization.

Progression within this stream reflects increasing depth of professional knowledge project management capability and the ability to influence others.

A colleague at this level works independently within defined boundaries and guidelines in a specific area but will need supervision and support on more complex tasks. Knowledge is required for the application of practical methods and techniques work procedures and processes.

Solutioning is through a choice between known alternatives within the area of expertise and the leader will evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the solution.

High-Level Position Purpose

Applies knowledge around analytical tools and methodologies to help develop innovative data-driven solutions that deliver actionable insights to help identify opportunities drive efficiencies scalability and / or an improved customer experience. Also assists with related training and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively analyze business needs and develop data solutions that are high quality fit-for-purpose and easy for users to adopt and action
• Receive review and triage incoming requests assess initial value and feasibility and outline business needs and required tools or resources
• Coordinate resources post-requirements gathering engaging SMEs and technical stakeholders as needed
• Align requirements with technical feasibility propose viable processes and secure sign-off on scope and exclusions
• Identify explore and obtain access to required data sources acting as a bridge between data owners engineering and stakeholders
• Build and validate base datasets using tools like Excel Power BI SQL or Python; move validated datasets to production environments and collaborate with engineering for cloud deployments
• Design dashboards and visualizations aligned with business goals defining KPIs filters visuals and layout for usability
• Develop user-friendly applications including UI design validations calculations role-based features and navigation logic
• Set up data repositories and enable access controls for app consumption; perform initial data loads
• Develop automated workflows and scripts for data archiving refresh and maintenance
• Design and execute on-demand ad hoc analyses using tools such as Databricks gathering input from business stakeholders
• Create user training materials guides and video tutorials conduct training sessions and support solution rollouts
• Provide ongoing user support troubleshooting issues enabling access and resolving technical questions
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) gather feedback and apply refinements
• Document solutions thoroughly to support future enhancements handovers and knowledge transfer
• Monitor solutions post-deployment ensuring proper functioning dataset refreshes archiving processes and timely issue resolution
• Perform basic updates to reports and dashboards for layout or cosmetic changes that dont alter underlying data models
• Maintain a high level of quality in all deliverables following defined team standards and operating models
• Raise and address deviations risks or resource gaps that might impact project timelines or quality
• Provide regular updates for management and stakeholder reporting maintaining transparency around scope timelines and budgets
• Maintain strong business acumen to ensure solutions align with strategic goals and deliver tangible value
• Leverage internal and external resources and best practices through collaboration and networking
