telecaller job involves making and receiving calls to sell products or services, generate leads, and assist customers. Key duties include initiating outbound sales calls, handling inbound inquiries and complaints, maintaining customer records in a database, and following up with leads to close sales. Strong communication, persuasion, and record-keeping skills are essential for this role.

Core responsibilities

Outbound calls : Initiate contact with potential and existing customers to promote products, gather information, and schedule appointments.

Inbound calls : Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and assist with issues or complaints.

Lead generation : Identify potential customers and follow up with leads to convert them into actual customers.

Sales : Persuade customers to purchase products or services, often by explaining features, benefits, and pricing.

Customer relationship management : Resolve customer complaints, provide solutions, and foster positive long-term relationships.

Record-keeping : Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, update call databases, and document sales.

Script adherence : Use scripts and organizational guidelines to ensure consistent service delivery, while also being able to customize them as needed.

Required skills and qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong persuasion and closing skills.

Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.

Data entry skills and proficiency with CRM software is often a plus.

A high school diploma is often the minimum requirement, with a bachelor's degree sometimes preferred.

Previous experience in a telemarketing or sales role can be advantageous.
