Job descriptionEnsure plant and equipment are well maintained and safe to operate To support plant operations and ensure that day to day maintenance requirement of the site is fulfilled. Ensure that the site has an updated list of all the instruments and systems in place Ensure that the there is an updated Annual calibration schedule which is signed off by the stakeholders Ensure that all the instrumentation and control system of the site is functioning without any failures Ensure that the new addition of instruments and systems are included in calibration and PM schedule 100% adherence to the planned maintenance and Calibration schedules 100% adherence to breakdown SOP Ensure that the equipment notifications are closed with history on time in SAP Perform RCA as per SOP and close all CAPAs as per IR time given to avoid repeat failures Focus on equipment availability above 99.5% for service critical equipment, 98% for other equipments, 100% for safety critical equipment Monitoring Annual Engineering Budget and develop zero based maintenance budget. study the condition profile of the equipment and plan for phase wise replacement 100% compliance to approved Opex and Capex budgets Review and set Minimum – Maximum levels for critical spares and ensure 100% availability. Prepare various daily / weekly / monthly MIS reports. Ensure timely completion of IRM Presentation, work plan of Cluster, engineering dashboard compliances. Ensure timely compliance of SAP PM Module requirement. Compliance to legal & metrology requirements. Project execution as per equipment layout & P& ID. Look after to maintain uninterrupted operation & maintenance of Plant machinery Utility equipment, Fire Hydrant and alarm system. Safety and safe ways of working Ensure that all the Engineering and maintenance activities are performed as per EHS requirement of PIL and local regulatory requirements Ensure that there zero reportable incidents from his areas of work. Ensure that the equipment integrity and safety is maintained well so as to avoid injury to operating people and damage to properties. Implementation of EHS, TPM, 5 S & JH activity, 360 deg guarding, leak free / dust free equipment’s, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Ensure compliance of requirement of LEGATRIX and update the same on time Quality Ensure equipment failures are not leading to product quality deterioration Ensure that repeat failures are reduced by 50% YoY Review PM checklists of equipment and improve the quality and frequency based on the outcome of inspections / failures / RCA / FMEA conducted on the equipment Upkeep of IOT, DCS, Data collection and Analysis of the IOT reports and prepare the action plan to eliminate the stoppages in co-ordination within department & cross functional departments. Energy conservation& cost saving Ensure that high energy consuming equipment are functioning properly and energy is not wasted Implement energy saving measures and keep track of the savings committed Replace inefficient equipment phase wise and help the plant's energy performance is high Introduce innovation and new ways of working to reduce the cost of asset management and cost efficiency of the plant. People and contract management Responsible for developing his team members & contractors Ensure adequately trained people are only engaged to perform critical jobs Ensure that all the planned Role Based trainings are attended for himself and people reporting to him
