Job descriptionDeep problem solving capability must have the capability to diagnose the problem and understand possible solutions and passionately fight for what is right (skin in the game and being right a lot) Customer empathy, naturally thinks user experience first, and design first while solving for growth and retention (Customer Obsession and Solve elegantly) Ownership of Customer Metrics and must have experience of owning end to end consumer metrics (must have : front end, good to have : backend also) deliver outcome Hands on understanding of atleast one of Flutter, iOS, or Android. (expectation of hands on coding and understand front end architecture of the product or platform he / she has been working on. Expectation is for the person to have been in a hands on role in the last 2 years. Deep backend architecture is not required. (deliver outcome) Prior experience of atleast 1-2 years of leading a team (earn trust) Exposure to mobile testing frameworks and automation (solve elegantly) Must be curious to learn and adopt AI Exposure to fintech or payments apps Flutter knowledge Built and shipped 0?1 products in fast-paced environments Prior AI experience in prompting and getting a functional code Passionate about performance, visual polish, and app architecture
You should apply if you have :
- Hands-on understanding of at least one of the mobile platforms (Flutter, iOS, or Android) with active coding experience when needed and knowledge of frontend architecture for the product or platform worked on.
- Must have been in a hands-on role within the last 2 years.
- Ability to work closely with backend teams to ensure performance, scalability, and fault tolerance across UPI backend systems; experience collaborating with platform teams is a plus.
- Deep problem-solving capability, with the ability to diagnose issues, evaluate solutions, and advocate passionately for the best approach.
- Customer empathy, prioritizing user experience and design while balancing growth and retention.
- Proven experience owning end-to-end consumer metrics, with a focus on frontend (backend experience is a plus).
- Experience leading frontend-focused engineering teams in payments, with working knowledge of backend systems and integration flows.
- Exposure to mobile testing frameworks and automation.
- AI-first mindset, comfortable leveraging AI tools to generate functional code.
- Passion for performance, visual polish, and app architecture.
