Role Title : Senior Software Engineer – Front-End

Position Summary :

Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join our Hotel Websites (HWS) team within IT Application Development. This role is ideal for a passionate engineer with a strong background in modern JavaScript frameworks and a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance web applications. You will play a key role in developing user-facing features, integrating backend APIs, and collaborating across multiple teams including DevOps, backend engineering, and product management.

Job Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications using React.Js, Next.Js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Architect and implement reusable components and front-end libraries that align with Marriott’s design and performance standards.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, ensuring seamless data flow and robust error handling.
• Lead front-end technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and advocate for best practices in code quality, testing, and performance optimization.
• Work closely with UX / UI designers to translate UX designs and prototypes into functional, interactive interfaces.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness across all supported platforms.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and frameworks, and evaluate their potential adoption within Marriott’s tech stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align front-end development with business goals and user needs.
• Work with multiple teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services and APIs into the front-end architecture.
• Coordinate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of front-end applications.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.
