Cleartax - Manager - Accounts Payable & Taxation

Overview :

We are seeking a Manager Accounts Payable & Taxation to lead end-to-end payables and taxation functions for Clears global finance operations. This role will ensure smooth vendor and employee payment processes, compliance with all statutory tax requirements (direct and indirect), and collaboration with auditors and business stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role suited for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, automation-driven environment and can independently manage compliance and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Accounts Payable :

• Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable operations : vendor invoice validation, booking, and timely payments.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in vendor documentation, TDS applicability, and GST credits.
• Manage employee reimbursements, travel and expense claims, and related audit controls.
• Perform vendor and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Drive automation of AP workflows, approval hierarchies, and reporting through ERP (SAP or equivalent).
• Implement process controls for payment approvals, delegation of authority, and fraud risk mitigation.
