What you'll do

Youll play a key role in delivering risk management initiatives that support the effective application of the operational risk framework and conduct risk obligations, with an opportunity to improve the understanding and effective management of risk across the organisation.

Well look to you to deliver, evidence and continually improve a high level of assurance in the banks pricing methodologies. To do this, youll be overseeing the trade prices the bank has given to customers, as well as the methodologies used, by utilising expert product knowledge to critically analyse their level and construction, as well as confidently escalating and discussing potential issues.

Youll also pro-actively drive the assessment and implementation of risk framework and policy compliance or changes, converting these into appropriate strategies and action plans with respect to the banks pricing of financial products offered to corporates, banks and other financial entities.

Day-to-day, youll be :

• Creating a culture of continuous improvement, increasing efficiency and productivity through great people leadership, coaching, engagement and development of skills
• Developing and supporting the interrogation and analysis of relevant management information, supporting effective risk management on the part of your stakeholders
• Building and maintaining trusted working partnerships across the bank and our franchises, to inform and gather intelligence on emerging and future risks and controls
• Supporting management in facilitating regular stakeholder meetings and key forums through the preparation and issuing of supporting paperwork and assessing regulatory impacts
• Supporting and regularly engaging with relevant stakeholders including second and third line of defence, and risk teams and delivering actions in a timely manner
• Supporting change initiatives across the business, ensuring upstream risks, along with supporting the assessment of the impact of regulation changes, developing and delivering appropriate strategies and action plans to comply
• Initiating and supporting thematic exploration, deep dives, read across and oversight of the risk profile linked to control and conduct failures and operational events

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, youll demonstrate knowledge of how a large financial services organisation operates and bring experience of working in a first or second line of defence risk role.
