Product Design Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with a background in Product designing.The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of product Designing with specific tools and techniques. Identify critical areas, highlighting high-priority work packages or activities.

Responsibilities

• Applies and supports the development of processes such as Design Review, Virtual Review, and tools such as  Creo, DFMEA, DVP & R, DFM, DFA, tolerance stack-up, etc .
• Conducts cross-functional reviews for components on own, seeks guidance from experts and program team members as required.
• 3D CAD modelling for major  casting components  and other engine components like plumbing, sheet metal brackets, etc.
• Creating and checking 2D drawings. Apply GD&T and design for Manufacturing / service / assembly.
• Develop engineering releases as per component requirement for respective design phase.
• Support on the engine build with proposed BOM (Review BOM and verify it during engine build).
• Support part movement during the engine builds, validation, testing, etc.
• Capable to handle ETLA and Product tailoring components / system TLA.
