L2 / L3 Network Security Engineer / Architect - Routing & Switching

Description : About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Security Engineer / Architect with expertise in L2 / L3 network protocols and security technologies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures, monitoring network performance, and ensuring robust protection against cyber threats.

You will collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and operations teams to enhance network security posture and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures for enterprise environments.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, and load balancers to ensure network security and performance.
• Monitor network traffic and performance using network monitoring and security tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex L2 / L3 network issues, including routing, switching, and connectivity problems.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement intrusion detection / prevention systems (IDS / IPS) and other security controls.
• Evaluate and recommend network security solutions, tools, and technologies to enhance enterprise security.
• Participate in capacity planning, network upgrades, and architecture reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.
