Research and Development Product Manager

We are currently hiring for the position of Lead – Research & Product Development based in Mumbai / Nagpur . This is a strategic leadership role focused on innovation, cost optimization, and technical advancement in the solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing domain.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven professional to lead our Research and Product Development initiatives in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will spearhead end-to-end product innovation, cost optimization, and technical excellence within the solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing domain. This role demands a unique blend of engineering rigor, cross-functional leadership, and commercial acumen to develop market-ready, certified solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Establish and lead the Research and Product Development function, including recruitment, performance management, and team development.
• Oversee development and certification of PV modules and solar cells under various frameworks. Manage product delivery schedules.
• Drive strategic initiatives in collaboration with consulting partners to achieve operational efficiency.
• Lead factory-wide programs for waste reduction, energy savings, and throughput optimization.
• Direct end-to-end equipment selection, procurement, budgeting, and installation of PV module lines
• Set up and manage test labs, implement compliant quality protocols, and oversee raw material testing capability development.
• Interface with sales, procurement, strategy, and engineering teams to align product specification with market and customer needs.
• Participate in digitalization efforts for automated decision-making, production planning, and real-time data integration in module manufacturing.
