Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Python Automation Engineer with expertise in test automation and Python-based automated test development. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in QA or test automation, proficiency in Python programming, and experience with industry-standard automation frameworks. A solid understanding of Layer 2 / Layer 3 protocols and Linux environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automated test scripts.
Implement test automation solutions using frameworks such as Pytest, Robot, or Behave.
Conduct Layer 2 / Layer 3 protocol testing to ensure robust and reliable performance.
Work with traffic generators like Ixia or Spirent for simulation and testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and quality assurance.
Analyze test results, debug issues, and provide detailed reports.
Maintain and improve existing test automation frameworks.

Skills and Qualifications :

Mandatory Skills :

8+ years of experience in QA or test automation.

Proficiency in Python programming and knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.

Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Pytest, Robot, or Behave.

Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.

Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with traffic generators like Ixia or Spirent.

Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Educational Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
