We are seeking a dynamic and driven Area Sales Manager to lead Sales efforts within the designated region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing the company’s sales strategy, fostering client relationships, and achieving both individual and team revenue targets. This role demands a proactive approach to lead generation, client engagement, and post-sales follow-through.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy & Planning § Understand the company’s broader business objectives and translate them into actionable regional sales strategies. § Create and implement territory-specific plans to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
Client Relationship Management § Act as the first point of contact and the face of the company for all key clients within the area. § Build strong and lasting relationships with end-clients, architects, PMCs, and consultants through regular meetings and active engagement.
Business Development & Lead Generation § Conduct cold calls, site visits, and meetings to generate new leads and expand the client base. § Identify new business opportunities and nurture them into long-term revenue-generating accounts.
Sales Presentations & Proposals § Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations tailored to client needs. § Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals that align with the client’s requirements and project goals.
Post-Sales Support & Coordination § Address any client queries or concerns post-sale and coordinate with internal teams for timely resolution. § Ensure a seamless customer experience by maintaining high levels of service throughout the sales lifecycle.
Performance & Target Delivery § Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets. § Collaborate with other team members to contribute towards the company’s collective annual sales objectives.
Soft Skills § Strong communication and presentation skills § Excellent client-facing and relationship-building abilities § High degree of self-motivation and result orientation § Ability to work independently as well as in a team
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
4–8 years of proven sales experience in B2B, preferably in the lighting, electrical, interior products, building material sector
Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required
Technically strong and someone who is inquisitive about the product he / she is selling
Should have good communication skills
Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office applications
Should be proficient in English (speak / read / write) & speak Kannada
Integrity to his / her profession would be a key virtue
