Job Summary : -The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will involve supervising accounting staff, managing financial transactions, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth and stability. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will play a key role in interdepartmental coordination and external communications with financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities : -
Financial Management & Reporting :
Maintain and track the company’s financial health, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive financial statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring smooth cash flow.
Handle fund movement and cash flow forecasting to optimize financial planning.
Close the books at the end of each financial period, ensuring no further entries are posted.
Accounting Operations & Compliance : -
Ensure timeliness, accuracy and consistency of service to Pinnacle.
Review all monthly financials and schedules prior to being sent to Pinnacle.
Interface with SVP of Asset Management as needed to address Pinnacle accounting or team related matters and needs.
Implement accounting and reporting best practices across the Pinnacle accounting team. Oversee all financial and accounting operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and supervision to senior accountants, reviewing work to ensure accuracy and adherence to plans. Conduct regular audits to maintain financial integrity and transparency.
Leadership & Communication and Team Development : -
Lead and represent the India office in financial matters.
Hire, train and manage accounting team assigned to Pinnacle.
Create job descriptions for each position and reporting hierarchy.
Set performance expectations for team members and conduct quarterly performance review.
Develop intra-departmental and inter-departmental communication and workflow best practices that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Communicate effectively with banks, lenders, and insurance providers for financial transactions and risk management.
Review financial one-pagers and reports to present insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience : -
Bachelor’s or master’s degrees in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA, CA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in managerial role.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Key Competencies :
