Google Cloud Security Administrator

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled Google Cloud Security Administrator to join our team and strengthen our cloud security posture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), network security, and incident response, along with hands-on experience using Google Cloud security tools and automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure leveraging Google Cloud IAM, VPC Service Controls, firewall policies, and security perimeters to protect critical workloads and data.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM solutions, threat intelligence platforms, and incident response tools.
• Manage and optimize the use of Google Security Command Center, Chronicle, Cloud Armor, and Intrusion Detection / Prevention Systems (IDS / IPS) to enhance the security posture.
• Implement and enforce encryption strategies, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, and key management protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
• Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Terraform, Python, and Bash to streamline security operations and compliance tasks.
• Lead and support compliance audits and assessments, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks and industry security standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
• Collaborate closely with customer IT teams and stakeholders, providing expert security advice, addressing concerns, and preparing visual presentations (PPTs, dashboards) to communicate security strategies effectively.
• Continuously improve cloud security policies, controls, and response procedures in a dynamic cloud environment.
• Commit to professional growth by attaining the Professional Cloud Security Engineer (GCP) certification or an equivalent credential within the first year of Skills and Qualifications :
• 4 to 6 years of experience in cloud security administration, preferably with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong expertise in GCP security components including IAM, VPC Service Controls, firewall management, and perimeter security design.
• Hands-on experience with Google Security Command Center, Chronicle, Cloud Armor, IDS / IPS, and related security monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of cloud encryption methodologies, DLP tools, and key management services.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Terraform, Python, and Bash to automate security processes.
• Experience with SIEM solutions, threat intelligence platforms, and incident response frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud compliance frameworks, audit preparation, and governance standards.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to security challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholder expectations.
