About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Audio Signal Processing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in digital signal processing (DSP), audio algorithm development, and acoustics. You will work closely with internal engineering teams and external IOEMs to develop and tune audio solutions for advanced embedded systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and optimize audio signal processing algorithms for embedded platforms.
- Collaborate with IOEM partners to gather requirements and implement audio tuning and post-processing solutions.
- Apply deep knowledge of filters, frequency response, and audio quality metrics to enhance product performance.
- Utilize ARM NEON intrinsics and low-level optimization techniques for real-time audio processing.
- Implement and test DSP algorithms using C / C++ and Matlab / Simulink for simulation and validation.
- Work with Audio HAL and system integration teams to ensure seamless audio delivery across hardware and software layers.
- Analyze system-level performance and perform profiling, debugging, and fine-tuning of audio components.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in technical acoustics, audio codec standards, and DSP advancements.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Telecommunications.6- 9 years of experience in audio signal processing, DSP development, or embedded systems.Strong hands-on experience in DSP algorithm development, digital filters, and real-time audio processing.Proficiency in Matlab for audio simulation and algorithm prototyping.Solid understanding of ARM NEON optimization, fixed-point implementation, and embedded performance tuning.Familiarity with audio HAL, RTOS, and system-level integration of audio components.Knowledge of technical acoustics, psychoacoustics, and perceptual audio metrics.Preferred Skills :
Experience working on consumer electronics, automotive audio systems, or IoT audio products.Exposure to audio codec development, noise reduction, beamforming, or echo cancellation algorithms.Familiarity with Android Audio Framework and Linux-based audio subsystems.Ability to work in a cross-functional team with both hardware and software engineers.ref : hirist.tech)
