Mechanical Design Engineer (Fresher)

Job Description

Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for automation systems.

Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks .

Support the design of machine structures, sheet metal parts, enclosures, and panel layouts.

Participate in concept development, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems.

Ensure designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and manufacturing feasibility.

Collaborate with electrical, controls, and production teams to ensure integrated system design.

Maintain proper documentation including BOMs, drawing revisions, and design change records.

Follow design review processes and assist in resolving design-related issues on the shop floor.

Willing to travel to customer locations (across PAN India) locations.

Requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks – 2D drafting and 3D modeling.

Basic understanding of mechanical design principles , tolerance stack-up, and material selection.

Good grasp of GD&T , sheet metal design, and fabrication process.

Strong visualization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a team environment.

Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Passed out in 2024 / 2025) with more than 7 CGPA (without arrears).

Certification in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is added advantage .
