Data Governance Lead - Collibra / Alation

Job Summary :

The Data Governance Lead is responsible for developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure data quality, compliance, and security across the bank. The role involves close collaboration with IT, risk, compliance, and business teams to promote data integrity and regulatory Responsibilities :

• Design and implement data governance and quality policies
• Define data quality metrics and monitor data integrity
• Ensure compliance with DPDPA, IRDAI, and related regulations
• Implement metadata management and data lineage practices
• Conduct training and promote data literacy across teams
• Evaluate and implement data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation)
• Act as a central contact for all data governance & Skills :
• Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 10+ years in data governance / data management (preferably BFSI)
• Strong knowledge of frameworks like DAMA DMBOK, DCAM
• Hands-on with data governance tools and data warehousing
• Familiarity with Python, Big Data, Spark, AWS / GCP
• Certifications preferred : CDMP, DAMA, IQINT
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
