About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeller with strong expertise in the BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) framework to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality data models that enhance system performance, scalability, and integration across enterprise banking systems.

You will also act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on BIAN standards and best practices in data modeling to internal teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models aligned with the BIAN framework.
  • Enhance data model performance, scalability, and integration with other enterprise systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and developers to gather data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
  • Ensure data models support business processes, regulatory compliance, and enterprise data strategy.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and documentation on BIAN standards and data modeling techniques to internal team members.
  • Review and optimize existing data models for consistency and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Support data governance initiatives and data quality management.
  • Work closely with database administrators to implement and maintain models in production environments.
  • Stay current with industry trends, data modeling tools, and best practices within the banking and financial services sector.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • 8+ years of experience in data modeling within the banking or financial services domain.
  • In-depth knowledge of the BIAN framework and its practical application in enterprise banking architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, Visual Paradigm, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data architecture principles, and data quality management practices.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • BIAN Certification (or equivalent experience applying BIAN standards).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Experience in integrating data models with enterprise service buses (ESB) and API architectures.
