Job Title : Java Developer – Microservices & (Domain : Retail / E-commerce Advantage)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with hands-on experience in Spring Boot, Kafka, Kotlin, NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and Microservices architecture . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable applications and a deep understanding of retail or e-commerce business processes .

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Spring Boot and Java .
Implement event-driven architecture using Kafka for real-time data processing.
Develop and optimize applications using Kotlin alongside Java.
Work with NoSQL databases like MongoDB to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microservices into a scalable system.
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and resilience in software services.
Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and continuous integration / deployment (CI / CD) processes.
Optimize application performance and scalability for retail / e-commerce platforms .

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Proven experience in Java and Spring Boot development.

Strong knowledge of Kafka for event-driven messaging.

Hands-on experience with Kotlin for backend development.

Expertise in NoSQL databases , especially MongoDB .

Deep understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs .

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes .

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud .

Prior experience working in retail or e-commerce domains is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail .

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with CI / CD pipelines for automated deployments.

Knowledge of security best practices in microservices.

Understanding of domain-driven design (DDD) and event sourcing .

Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices .
