Purchase Executive
to manage our procurement activities, vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective purchasing of materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management. Key Responsibilities : Procurement Operations : Oversee the entire procurement cycle — from identifying requirements to vendor selection, order placement, and follow-up on deliveries. Raw Material Sourcing : Procure key textile raw materials such as yarn (cotton, synthetic, blended), raw cotton, wool, fibers, dyes, chemicals, and other inputs used in fabric production. Vendor Management : Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and adherence to quality standards. Price Negotiation : Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure cost-effective deals without compromising quality. Production Coordination : Collaborate with production, planning, and inventory teams to align procurement with manufacturing schedules. Inventory Management : Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid material shortages or overstocking. Quality & Compliance : Coordinate with the quality team to inspect and approve incoming materials. Ensure supplier compliance with company and industry standards. Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate purchase orders, contracts, delivery notes, and supplier performance records using ERP systems. Key Requirements : Education : Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience : 2–5 years of proven experience in purchasing / procurement of yarn, cotton, or cloth within a textile or garment manufacturing environment. Knowledge : Deep understanding of various types of yarns (cotton, polyester, blended, etc.) Familiarity with greige and finished cloth varieties and specifications Insight into textile market pricing, supplier networks, and production planning Skills : Strong negotiation and communication skills Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, or similar) Strong analytical and organizational abilities Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
