As the lead for Marketing and Technology in Paper, you will frequently engage with clients to keep abreast of market conditions and trends and develop the Paper market for Buckman.
With robust customer, market and technical knowledge you will ensure we focus on attractive markets for growth. You will work as part of a broader team to drive and deploy the innovation, product line requirements and technical and marketing capability required to succeed in the chosen markets. You will oversee market development, opportunity management, key account management and inform pricing and value strategies.Your oversight of the Product Management team will ensure the development and implementation of required Product Management strategies delivering our differentiated offering.
Your leadership and oversight as the Marketing and Technology Manager in Paper will be vital in strategy development and execution for Buckman in pursuit of corporate goals and objectives and a sustainable competitive advantage.
Job Responsibilities
1. Market Development
üAchieve revenue and margin growth targets for the Paper Industry segment
üDevelop and implement the marketing strategy for the Paper Industry segment
üResponsible for oversight of opportunity portfolio for Paper Industry segment
üParticipation in marketing events, seminars, conferences in alignment with the strategy to create demand in the market for Buckman offerings
üEngage with customers and stakeholders for insight and feedback on current and potential offerings
2. Market Support
üProvide technical and marketing support for growth and attrition prevention in the Paper Industry segment
üDeploy Technical and Product Management resources to deliver appropriate support to internal and customer stakeholders
üOversight of all Paper Bids and Tenders, executing in collaboration with Commercial and other stakeholders
üDevelop and deploy Strategic Corporation / Key Account strategies, systems and processes for acquisition, retention and lateral growth delivering a differentiated customer experience to key clients. Achieve planned revenue and margin growth targets for key clients in collaboration with commercial teams
3. Product Management
üDevelop and implement Product Management strategy for the Paper Industry segment in alignment with overall business and corporate strategies
üOversight and management of the required Product Line for the Paper Industry segment
üOversight and management of the required customer facing and internal marketing, training materials and product selection guides
4. New Technology
üOwnership and accountability of all aspects of new product introduction and promotion in alignment with strategy
üResponsible for taking ideas through the Phase and Gate process in collaboration with R&D and Commercial stakeholders.
üOversight and management of new product launch packages in collaboration with Technical, Marketing and Corporate stakeholders on time and in scope
üAchieve planned revenue and margin from new products introduced
5. Pricing Management
üDevelop pricing strategies and tactics in collaboration with Marketing for Paper Industry segment.
üOversight and management of the development and use of materials required to support pricing management actions
üCollaboration with commercial and marketing teams for value and pricing management with pricing strategies for product suites in the designated industry segment.
6. Market Intelligence
üSupport Marketing with the assembly of relevant market intelligence, development of meaningful reports and the extraction of actionable insights
üOversight of Market Attractiveness and Ability to succeed intelligence, and adjustments to strategy with changes in these
üOversight and management of Voice of Customer insights to inform strategy, new product introduction and product management
üOversight and management of regional database of customers, competitors, products and extraction of actionable insights from these to inform strategy
