About The Role

The DevOps Manager at ZeOmega plays a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's continuous integration, version control, and automation services. This leadership position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the build and deployment infrastructure that supports the development and delivery of ZeOmega's software solutions. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to streamline deployment processes, automate workflows, and ensure the stability and scalability of the software delivery pipeline. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—including software development, quality assurance, and implementation—is essential to ensure timely, high-quality releases that meet organizational standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess 10-15 years of extensive experience in build, release, and systems engineering, with a proven track record in DevOps practices. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies is required. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, and Bash is essential. Candidates should have intermediate expertise in both Windows and GNU / Linux environments, along with familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, or similar platforms. Experience with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Perforce, as well as build tools like Maven and Ant, is necessary. Knowledge of configuration management tools including Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Ansible is also highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

The DevOps Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation tools, scripts, and systems to support software build and deployment processes. This includes managing version control and issue tracking systems, collaborating with quality assurance teams to ensure standards are met, and overseeing the creation and release of software builds. The role involves automating and continuously improving the build and deployment infrastructure, troubleshooting release-related issues, and resolving technical challenges in collaboration with development and operations teams. The manager will also be tasked with administering, maintaining, and upgrading build systems, organizing packaging and deployment of internal modules and third-party libraries, and ensuring the overall stability of the deployment pipeline. Leadership in driving the adoption of DevOps best practices across the organization is a key aspect of this role, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
