Job Overview :
The Head of Research Analyst will be responsible for leading the research team, conducting in-depth equity and financial market analysis, and providing strategic insights for investment decisions.
The role demands advanced expertise in portfolio management, macroeconomic trends, and stock valuation to support the Portfolio Management Services division in delivering superior returns to clients.
Key Responsibilities :
Research & Analysis :
- Lead the research team in conducting comprehensive analysis on equities, fixed income, and alternative investment opportunities.
- Provide fundamental and technical analysis of individual stocks and sectors.
- Monitor macroeconomic, geopolitical, and financial market trends that may impact portfolio performance.
Investment Strategy :
Develop and refine portfolio strategies for clients, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment philosophy.Make investment recommendations based on rigorous research and risk-return analysis.Support the Portfolio Managers in asset allocation decisions across different sectors, geographies, and asset classes.Leadership & Collaboration :
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative research environment.Collaborate closely with portfolio managers to align research with investment strategies and client needs.Present research findings, recommendations, and strategies to internal stakeholders and clients.Performance Monitoring :
Regularly review the performance of portfolios under management, ensuring they meet client objectives.Provide insights into portfolio re balancing, risk mitigation, and adjustment based on market conditions.Client Interaction :
Act as a subject matter expert in client meetings, providing updates on market conditions, portfolio performance, and investment opportunities.Address client queries and concerns regarding investment strategies and market MBA in Finance, CFA certification, or equivalent 8-10 years of experience in equity research, financial analysis, or portfolio management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.Strong understanding of equity markets, financial modeling, and valuation techniques.Skills :
Proficient in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar).Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex investment strategies to clients and senior management.Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.Certifications : CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) preferred or other relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, CAIA).Key Competencies :
