About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary AWS Cloud Architect or Azure Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad.
This is a critical role for a seasoned professional with over 10 years of technology experience, including a significant tenure in designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud solutions within large multinational organizations.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in either AWS or Azure cloud platforms, coupled with a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, infrastructure-as-code, and a commitment to best practices.
You will be instrumental in shaping our cloud strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency across our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
As an AWS Cloud Architect / Azure Cloud Architect, your primary responsibilities will include :
- Cloud Solution Design & Architecture : Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions on either AWS or Azure platforms, aligning with business requirements and industry best practices.
- Strategic Cloud Roadmapping : Contribute to the development and evolution of the organization's cloud strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities for cloud adoption and optimization.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship : Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams on cloud architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) : Drive the adoption and implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code principles using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for automated provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Security & Compliance : Design and implement cloud security controls, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., data encryption, access management, network security).
- Performance & Cost Optimization : Continuously monitor cloud resource utilization, performance, and costs, identifying and implementing optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure.
- Migration & Modernization : Plan and execute cloud migration strategies for existing on-premise applications and data, and lead efforts to modernize legacy applications for cloud-native environments.
- Troubleshooting & Support : Act as a subject matter expert for complex cloud-related issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and support to resolve critical incidents.
- Documentation & Standards : Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, standards, and guidelines for cloud environments.
- Stakeholder Communication : Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and collaboration.
Required Qualifications :
Experience :
Minimum of 10+ years of overall technology experience.At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Architecture (for AWS role) or Azure Cloud Architecture (for Azure role) with large multinational organizations.Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated experience in cloud architecture and implementation, with a strong focus on either AWS or Azure.Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
Certifications :
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification (for AWS role).Professional level certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is highly preferred.Technical Skills :
In-depth knowledge of core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS / EKS, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, IAM) or Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Virtual Network, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Service Bus, Azure Monitor, Azure AD).Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, PowerShell, Bash).Frameworks & Methodologies :
Qualified in ITIL, TOGAF, or similar ITSM frameworks, particularly focused on service operations or service transition.ref : hirist.tech)
