Job Summary
The Director of Operations will be responsible for driving operational excellence at the site through strategic planning, execution, and key metrics tracking. This role will oversee centralized business processes and workflows to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, priority setting, and decision making. Additionally, manage governance and compliance for site operations, ensuring adherence to key policy controls.
This leadership position will involve mentoring and leading team members, implementing improvements in daily site operations, and leveraging global resources to deliver industry benchmark methods. Also, work to remove operational obstacles to achieve streamlined business execution. This role will encompass coordination across all Applied Materials business units and functions to consolidate strategic requirements, budgeting, tracking, and action plans for the India site.
Roles and responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a vision that is congruent with the business objectives.
- Manage the planning and coordination across cross-functional Business Units (BUs) and Functions to devise an operational plan and key deliverables based on priority setting, with a primary focus on R&D and Engineering lab operations.
- Oversee the facilitation of roadmap, strategy, and plan reviews with cross-functional leaders to achieve consensus and scope finalization prior to design and execution.
- Supervise the execution of the plan in collaboration with site operations, Facilities (GWI), and EHS, including coordination with procurement, supply chain, and logistics.
- Ensure the enforcement of global standards, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all sites in partnership with site EHS teams.
- Monitor Operations KPI and key metrics to drive operations excellence and productivity tracking across all India functions.
Qualifications :
Master’s Degree : A postgraduate degree in Engineering, Material Science, or Business with Bachelor’s Degree : An undergraduate degree in Engineering.15 Years of Total Experience : A comprehensive background in relevant fields.10 Years of Experience in Semiconductor / High-Tech Operations and Planning : Extensive prior experience indicating a deep familiarity with industry standards, practices, and challenges is preferred.5+ Years of Team Management or Cross-Functional Leadership : A proven track record in overseeing teams or projects, demonstrating leadership capabilities and collaborative skills.Additional Information
