Oracle Apex Consultant

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle APEX Consultant to join our technology team.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Oracle APEX (preferably versions 20.x and above), with a solid foundation in Oracle SQL, PL / SQL, and modern web development technologies.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining custom applications using Oracle APEX, supporting business processes and enhancing user experience through intuitive, high-performing Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and responsive applications using Oracle APEX.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Create and optimize SQL and PL / SQL scripts to support application logic and data integrity.
• Integrate Oracle APEX with external systems and APIs using RESTful web services.
• Conduct performance tuning of SQL queries, application components, and UI elements.
• Perform upgrades and migrations of APEX applications and associated components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and bugs in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, DBAs, and system architects.
• Maintain high-quality documentation including design documents, technical specs, and user manuals.
• Enforce coding standards, best practices, and participate in code reviews.
• Support end users by resolving queries and improving usability based on Skills & Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Oracle APEX development.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL / SQL for back-end development and data processing.
• Experience with Oracle APEX 20.x and above, including Universal Theme and Page Designer.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and other front-end technologies.
• Familiarity with Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET) is highly desirable.
• Experience integrating APEX apps with external systems using RESTful APIs (Web Services).
• Solid understanding of database concepts, ER modeling, and relational data design.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to create intuitive and user-friendly & Tools :
• Oracle APEX (20.x or higher).
• Oracle Database (11g / 12c / 19c).
• Oracle SQL, PL / SQL.
• RESTful Web Services (ORDS).
• JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery.
• Oracle JET (JavaScript Extension Toolkit).
• Git / Version Control Tools.
• Agile Tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• BI Publisher, APEX Reports (preferred).
• SOAP / REST API Experience :
• Experience with APEX application upgrades / migration from older to newer versions.
• Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD tools for APEX deployment (Liquibase, Flyway, etc.
• Knowledge of data security, authentication methods (OAuth, SSO).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS RDS for Oracle).
