Power BI Expert

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Power BI expert who can translate messy business requirements from food and beverage companies into clean, reliable dashboards. Someone who understands data modelling deeply, builds with speed and discipline, and doesn't get overwhelmed when deadlines are tight.

This is not a "drag-and-drop" BI role. You will work on real operational problems — supply chain, quality, procurement, production planning, sales intelligence — across global F&B brands. You will own the end-to-end BI lifecycle : requirements → data modelling → DAX → visuals → deployment → training.

What You'll Do

1. Dashboard & Report Development Build production-grade Power BI dashboards (DAX-heavy, not template-heavy).

Convert raw datasets into clean, scalable semantic models.

Use best practices around measures, performance optimisation, and clean design.

Create drill-downs, what-if scenarios, RLS setups, and role-based views.

2. Data Modelling & Engineering Design star / snowflake models that are future-proof.

Work with SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines.

Collaborate with our ML / AI team to integrate model outputs into Power BI.

3. Client-Facing Work Run requirement-gathering calls with senior stakeholders.

Translate ambiguous inputs into clear specs and delivery timelines.

Present dashboards, gather feedback, iterate quickly without friction.

4. Delivery Discipline Maintain documentation, version control, and deployment checklists.

Own delivery commitments and keep internal stakeholders updated.

Support UAT, QA, and production rollout.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

3+ years building Power BI dashboards in a professional environment.

Strong understanding of DAX , Power Query (M) , and data modelling principles .

Proven ability to optimise report performance.

Comfortable solving business problems, not just visualising numbers.

Experience working with live data sources (SQL, APIs) and scheduled refreshes.

Ability to speak clearly, set expectations, and manage client discussions.

Hungry to work in a fast-execution team where transparency and accountability matter.

Comfort working in an early-stage, high-ownership environment.
